Description

Hot Rolled Coil (HRC)‌ is a steel strip produced by heating a slab and passing it through roughing and finishing rolling mills, with a typical thickness of 1.2–25.4 mm and width of 1,000–2,500 mm.

The production process of hot-rolled coils (HRC):

‌Raw material preparation‌: Primarily using continuous casting slabs as the main raw material. ‌

‌Heating and rolling‌: The heated slabs are processed through roughing and finishing rolling mills to form steel strips, followed by controlled cooling via laminar flow to the target temperature. ‌

‌Coiling‌: The cooled steel strips are wound into coils by a coiling machine to form the final product.

Physical Properties‌

‌High Strength & Toughness‌: The high-temperature rolling process optimizes the internal grain structure, giving it high strength and excellent ductility, allowing it to withstand significant mechanical stress while maintaining shape stability.

‌Superior Surface Quality‌: Smooth and flat surface with strong corrosion and wear resistance, making it suitable for subsequent coating or deep processing.

‌Excellent Formability‌: Easy to process through stamping, bending, and other methods, enabling the production of complex industrial components.

‌Main Applications‌

‌Construction‌: Steel structures (bridges, industrial plants)

‌Machinery Manufacturing‌: Equipment housings, components

‌Automotive Industry‌: Body, chassis, and other critical parts

‌Energy Pipelines‌: Oil and natural gas transmission pipelines.

‌Others‌: Home appliances, shipbuilding, pressure vessels
